Traverse is an interactive non-linear video experience, representing the experience of globalization on identity and memory.
Through the perspective of a character moving from the middle east to his native town in southern India the video experience captures the cultural atmosphere of a time and place going through rapid changes. Project featured on Korsakow curator's list and in Journal of Material Culture : Getting our hands dirty (again): Interactive documentaries and the meaning of images in the digital age by Paolo Favero.
The user is invited to navigate through an archive of videos and sound.
The narrative moves along chapters and within each chapter the media artifacts are presented without a clear chronology. As one moves along it becomes apparent that each video is linked to another through associations.
